Art vs the recession

I’ve been wanting to write something about making art during tough economic times. Should have known someone would do it for me. If you haven’t read it already, hop over to the New York Times (yesterday’s edition) and read Tight Times Loosen Creativity.

Be sure to watch the associated video, on artist Alexander Conner. Makes me want to buy him a cup of coffee and an apple fritter.

Just to brighten things up–this is what it looks like here today. A beautiful day doesn’t cost anything at all.
