Very cool--and best birthday wishes for your husband. Another little synchronicity: about an hour after I posted this, the mail brought a quarterly magazine to which I subscribe. The theme for this issue is "mysticism," and I opened it at random . . . to an essay by Rumi.

This is great! Today is also my husband's birthday. I had no idea he shared a birthday with Rumi. I will share this poem with him tonight.

I have the same routine for browsing amazon listings with a "twin" inter-library loan window. But you apparently have a much better selection available; I think I live in the wrong part of the state for great variety.

What a great bunch of books. Confession: Sometimes I fantasize about an injury that keeps me from going to work so I can read and sew.

Thanks, Christine--I did use a 1/8" hole punch for the tiny little circles in the centers of the flowers, the bird's eye, the giraffe spots and for the back of the turtle (who turned out to be too big to fit on the letter tile--sigh). It's a perfect project for kids--easy and quick with child safe glues and inks.

What a wonderful little tutorial, Nancy! I love these stamps, and they look easy to do. I think my boys would love them. So you did these with scissors and not a cutter or any other such tool? The circles look so tiny!
